Use of Zoom during Lockdown

Covid 19 Online Sessions

Whitchurch on Thames Preschool will ensure any use of online learning tools and systems are in line with privacy and data protection/GDPR requirements.

Below are some things to consider when delivering virtual lessons, especially where webcams are involved:

  • Staff and children must wear suitable clothing, as should anyone else in the household.

  • Any computers used should be in appropriate areas and with a suitable background, for example, not in bedrooms; .

  • Live classes should be kept to a reasonable length of time, or the streaming may prevent the family ‘getting on’ with their day.

  • Language must be professional and appropriate, including any family members in the background.

  • Two members of staff and/or one member of staff and a member of Whitchurch on Thames Preschool committee will be present for online sessions.

  • Parents/carers will supervise their child/children during an online session.

All staff at Whitchurch on Thames Preschool will be reminded of the following policies:

  • Staff code of conduct

  • Acceptable users’ policy

  • Social media guidance

If you have any questions, please speak to The Supervisor, Kathleen Barrow on whitchurchonthamespreschool@gmail.com
