Key Person

Our setting uses a key person approach. This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom they are particularly responsible. Your child's key person will be the person who works with you to make sure that the childcare that we provide is right for your child's needs and interests. When your child first starts at the setting, she/he will help your child to settle and throughout your child's time at the setting, they will help your child to benefit from our activities.

All children are also allocated a buddy too, for any days their key worker isn't there.

During the day, your child's key person will take pictures and videos on the pre-school iPad to document their progress and development which will be included in their learning profile on our secure parent communication platform, Famly.  From pictures of a visit to the veg shed during Outdoor Learning to a video of their experiment during Mini Professors, you'll be able to see what your child is learning and how much fun they're having in the process!

You are also invited to a termly parents' evening to meet with your child's key person.

"Quality pre-primary education is the foundation of a child’s journey: every stage of education that follows relies on its success."
