The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
The principles are for a child to be safe and healthy, to enjoy and achieve, to make a positive contribution and to prepare the child for economic well-being.
The principles of the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS):
that each child is unique;
it is important for the child to develop positive relationships;
to create enabling environments; and

The principles meet the Every Child Matters outcomes which are for a child to be safe and healthy, to enjoy and achieve, to make a positive contribution and to prepare the child for economic well-being.
The aims of the EYFS:

to provide equality of opportunity;
to create a framework for partnership working;
