Combining our excellent team of experienced staff and the voluntary efforts of our parents to manage the setting, we are able to maintain our high quality standards and uphold our aims.

Our Aims

  • Provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age

  • Work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop

  • Add to the life and well-being of the local community

  • Offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values

  • Provide effortless transition from Pre-School to Primary School, through familiarity and preparedness

Our Aims

Children's Development and Learning

We aim to ensure that each child:

  •  Is in a safe and stimulating environment

  •  Is given generous care and attention, because of our ratio of qualified staff to children, as well as volunteer helpers

  •  Has the chance to join in with other children and adults to live, play, work and learn together

  •  Has a personal key person who makes sure each child makes satisfying progress

  •  Is helped to take forward her/his learning and development by being helped to build on what she/he already knows and

         can do

  •   Is in a setting that sees parents as partners in helping each child to learn and develop

  •  Is in a setting in which parents help to shape the service it offers

We Need Your Support Today!

Parents are regarded as members of our setting community.  All of our parents are valued, respected and kept well informed.

The pre-school is managed by a parent-led committee which consults parents to ensure everyone is involved and included at all levels.

As our setting is voluntarily managed, we also depend on the goodwill of parents and their involvement to keep going. Whether that means being part of the committee, volunteering to bake a cake for a fundraising event or coming to an event, we encourage all parents to be part of our community.

"Whitchurch Preschool gives my daughter the chance to learn and play with her friends and gain a confidence in a range of fabulous activities; cooking, sports days, music, science and the great outdoors. The staff are akin to a welcome family and I can’t wait for my son to join in the fun next year!"
